Running Late Models ,Outlaw 4’s,Semi Mod 4’s,Extreme Stock 4’s,Street Stock(Thunder Bomber),FWD Hornets,Young Guns,& NEW for 2019 Road Warrior Division.Also select events for UMP Mods,Southern States Wingless Midget Series,ATV’s,Go Carts,and Enduros.The season runs April thru November and is a alcohol-free,Family Friendly facility. A County Fair in August is also a regular event w/racing nightly at the Fair.

Riverside Canoe & Tube Rental, Inc. is located on the banks of the South Fork of the New River in Crumpler, NC. Riverside Canoe, a full service outfitter, offers New River canoeing in Northeastern Ashe County. With Riverside Canoe you can begin your adventures canoeing or kayaking on the beautiful south fork along the 26 mile section of the National Wild & Scenic New River. We offer canoe, kayak, tube, and cabin rentals. Our self guided New River paddling trips range from 5 miles to 11 miles, or overnight. If you’re not sure what trip to take, give us a call and we’ll be happy to go over the details of each New River canoeing trip with you. Lessons are available for those who are unsure or have not paddled before.

The New River, which is believed to be the second oldest river in the world, with it’s free flowing water and sections of mild rapids, is great for novice as well as experienced paddlers. Riverside Canoe is within a short drive to the New River State Parks, Jefferson and West Jefferson and convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, Sparta and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as the High Country ski areas.

Admission into the park and access to the flume mines starts at $10.00. Please visit our Flume Mining page for detailed information on available buckets!

*Please note that no new miners will be admitted after 2:00 PM.

Note of Interest: This year we have been digging in an area that has turned up many Native American artifacts so there is a chance to find much more in your gem pails than just great gems, and we have also discovered some amazing aquamarine and tourmaline this year. We have expanded the rock shop and added more ore to go through. We hope to see YOU this season!!!

Opening Day: April 5th, 2019

Tweetsie Railroad is a family-oriented Wild West theme park located between Boone and Blowing Rock, North Carolina, United States. The centerpiece of the park is a 3-mile (4.8 km) ride on a train pulled by one of Tweetsie Railroad’s historic narrow-gauge steam locomotives. The park also features a variety of amusement rides, live shows, a zoo and other attractions geared towards families with children. The park also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year including Halloween and Christmas themed events.

Zaloo’s Canoes

New 2019 Hours: 8 am til 8 pm.

ZALOO’S Canoes is located on South Fork of the New River, a National Scenic and Wild River and an American Heritage River. Zaloo’s Canoes Kayaks and Tubes is the oldest and friendliest outfitter in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our ideal riverside location is 4 miles from Jefferson, NC in Historic Ashe County. We are on the very best stretch of the New River in North Carolina. 31 miles of river below us is designated as New River State Park, and a National Scenic and Wild River with 4 access areas with campgrounds that make for great 2 to 5 day canoe and kayak camping trips. We are open 7 days a week for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing from April through mid October. Reservations are highly recommended especially for weekends.

The New River is also recognized as prime for sport fishing. The New River is a favorite of small mouth bass fishermen. Trout fishing is excellent in the smaller, faster tributaries, most of which are designated general trout waters and are stocked regularly with rainbow and brown trout. Anglers need a state fishing license in order to fish the designated trout streams . A license can be obtained on line here or you can obtain one starting in the 2019 season at Zaloo’s.
