Pickup and dropoff at Charlotte or Greensboro Airport. Regular rider discount is $100.00 per ride, pre purchase 4 rides and pay $100.00 a ride, plus receive guaranteed availability.

Come along on a custom luxurious bus and tour the High Country’s best breweries. Come along for a brewery only tour or book one of our BBQ & Beer tours on the nations only traveling BBQ and Brewery tour bus restaurant. We service Asheville to Winston and everything between. Corporate discounts available.

NC Wine Tours
2 hours • $50.00 and up.

Take a tour of the high country’s finest wineries or come down into the beautiful Yadkin Valley and experience the Americas first wine country. Dine on local cheeses, charcuterie, and accoutrements while traveling to some of the most beautiful wineries in the south. Contact us for private tours and corporate rates. Beginner Acrylic Workshop

Experienced Beginner – Intermediate

Students will complete several small paintings while addressing and refining new and established techniques. Subjects will include: Day 1- Florals, real and impressionistic, Day 2 – Landscapes incorporating water and nature, Day 3 – Fur and Feathers. Techniques will include backgrounds, glazing, composition, negative painting tips, color selection, and wet into wet. There will be short demos followed by lots of painting time, and plenty of direct attention from the instructor.

Looking to experiment in a new medium? Acrylics are a fun and exciting medium that encompass the fast drying of watercolor with the beauty and vividness of oils without the chemicals. Students will learn underpainting, glazing, color mixing, and opaque media techniques along with basics such as composition and blocking. Value studies will be an important part of this class. 15th Annual Smoke on the Mountain

A standard MBN Pro-level and Patio Porker contest with Whole Hog, Pulled Pork and Pork Rib categories hosted by Twin County Chamber of Commerce.

Smoke on The Mountain Galax, VA. promises all that, plus live music, crafters, vendors, children’s activities and other attractions on several blocks of historic downtown Galax.

Galax is known for pleasing the ear as the world’s Capitol of Bluegrass and Old-time Music, and its natural beauty is a feast for the eyes. Each summer, the city adds the smells and tastes of barbecue to its symphony for the senses.

Smoke on the Mountain features vendors selling BBQ and lots of other foods, along with a chance to try the competition-quality entries for free! Stick around after the judging ends on Saturday and visit the team booths to get free samples.

We want to do everything possible to make your visit to the Games are pleasurable as possible. This section of our website is dedicated to helping you by providing essential information on event directors, tickets, lodging, parking, shuttle bus information along with a map and directions and a check list. We have also included a list of merchants and civic groups who vend on the mountain.

No pets are permitted.

Private golf cars are not permitted.

No bicycles permitted.

GMHG is a family-friendly event. A drug-free environment will be strictly enforced.

Summer Solstice Night Hike

Meet the park ranger for a 1.1-mile round-trip night hike along the ridgeline out to Luther Rock during the Summer Solstice. We will seek out amazing views, observe stars, as well as the shimmering lights from town 1,600 feet below. Bring a small flashlight and wear sturdy, closed toe shoes. Parts of this hike are considered strenuous, as Appalachian night hikes can be challenging. Children over the age of seven are welcome, but must be closely supervised. Painting in the Park

Take advantage of the scenery and come up to relax on your mountain. We will provide free canvases and tempera paints. You provide the creativity. This is a free outdoor painting program for all ages. All supplies are free while they last.
